For the perfect look follow these steps!

Position the top of the leach on your right hip, adjust until the poodle rests just in front of your left knee.
If the skirt shifts, simply twist the waistband back in place.
If a petticoat or slip is desired add it after putting on the skirt.
For optimal photos, face the camera straight on or with your left side visible.
Enhance movement by pulling up the skirt's left side; if a petticoat or slip is in use make sure to grab it as well to help even out the volume.

How did we get our start?

Over 20 years ago Hip Hop 50's Shop had it's first poodle skirt made for a Halloween costume. Enjoying the process Heidi posted them online expecting to sell only a few around Halloween, but she was surprised by the demand and now here we are with a brand focused on providing you with the best 1950's inspired pieces.

What makes our products unique?

Our skirts, as well as many other products are hand made here in the US by our team of seamstresses. Each one is made with acrylic felt to emulate the classic look form the 1950's that we all know and love.
